Shawna Wakefield
Services
I help leaders and groups connect to their visions, practice them daily, transform themselves and their impact.

My facilitation, teaching and coaching/mentorship are all about aligning social justice values with action, integrating healing into leadership, and reimagining power in ways that strengthen resiliency in our ecosystem for the long haul. I have a passion for transformative strategy and liberatory practices, resourcing the next generation of leaders with imagination, hope and rigor, and excellence in anti-racist, feminist, decolonial approaches that integrate our soul's work.
Facilitation
The contradictions of our time show up in our contexts, and in our communities, organizations and movements challenging our abilities to grow cultures of care, equity, joy and justice. I work with you and your groups to:
-
generate inspiring visions and emergent strategies to align your inner an outer work.
-
identify core values and design pragmatic ways to practice them every day.
-
develop and accompany action learning journeys to improve the impact of organizational and programmatic strategies.
-
break through tension and power differences.
-
strengthen team relationships and resilience.
-
align feminist and anti-racist values with practices.
Teaching
If you would like to resource organizational and field-level learning, I research, write and create tools to support collective reflection, learning and strategies to make transformative visions come alive. This includes diverse projects such as:
-
leading trauma-informed embodiment practices
-
creating and teaching courses on race, gender, power and international development
-
developing research and to support transformative feminist leadership, collective care, intersectional justice and equity and advocacy.
Coaching/Mentorship
I guide leaders and movement makers to name their purpose and embody feminist and transformative leadership for social justice and collective care. I am particularly focused on supporting social change leaders to:
-
define core values and purpose.
-
identify patterns that get in your way.
-
lead self collective care initiatives.
-
move through relational tensions and conflict.
-
commit to and compassionately and rigorously exercise feminist, anti-racist leadership
