Shawna Wakefield

Hi, I'm Shawna. I help social justice leaders and organizations bring bold, liberatory visions into daily practice—with care, compassion and ease
Do you long to take your big, transformative visions and practice them every day? Are ready to strategically navigate your way towards these visions with more grounding, ease and joy? Are you curious about how embodied practice can help you to lead from joy and to navigate complexity and conflict with more ease? Me too.
I am an embodiment and social justice facilitator, coach, strategist and budding song weaver. I have worked for thirty years on gender, racial, economic justice and over a decade supporting transformation in the inner and outer work of leaders, organizations and movements. I share a deep desire to see justice and liberation in our lifetimes - and understand the disappointment that grows in the gap.
Here's how I work with pragmatic visionaries to keep going and grow loving moves towards a transformed world:
-
Holding retreats and workshops to resource collective and spiritual care for social justice leaders through nature based somatics, mindfulness, storytelling and songmaking.
-
Guiding groups to remember your collective purpose, vision, place in a broader ecosystem and design transformative strategies.
-
Coaching individuals and small groups to remember and embody the spirit and soul of your work, as core to transformative leadership rooted feminist and anti-racist values.
